Diver Medic Technician – Shift Friendly

The National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology (www.nbdhmt.org) provides international certification for the Dive Medic Technician certification. Trilogy’s DMT program is approved by NBDHMT and is only one of three in Florida. The DMT course provides focused didactic and practical training that addresses recognition, stabilization and treatment of decompression and other diving-related injuries.
Successful completion permits the student to take the board certification test for DMT. This course is open to anyone interested in dive medicine, however, you must be a Paramedic or EMT to become board certified as a DMT.
Topics Include: Physics and Physiology of Diving, Decompression Sickness, Cerebral Arterial Gas Embolism, Barotrauma, and more….
Skill Stations: Patient Assessment, Neurological Assessment, Airway Management, Chest Decompression, Trauma.

You do not need to be a certified scuba diver to attend this course. Trilogy is a SDI, TDI, and ERDI training center if you are interested in becoming scuba certified.
The course is $795. This does not include testing fees which are payable to NBDHMT.
