This course will train the successful student in the skills necessary to respond to a diving emergency. It is designed specifically for public safety dive teams and professional divers. Scuba Instructors, Divemasters, and other divers interested in dive medicine are encouraged to attend. Medical and non-medical dive team members are encouraged to attend.

4.Cerebral Arterial Gas Embolism
5.Barotrauma
6.Other Diving Related Injuries
Skill Stations:
1.Patient Assessment
2.Neurological Assessment
3.Advanced Airways
4.Chest Decompression
5.Trauma
You will perform patient assessments on the mannequin, perform needle decompression, provide wound care and hemorrhage control with tourniquets and hemostatic gauze.
Upgrade Option: If you are a Scuba Instructor or Dive Master you have the option of becoming a DAN Instructor. There is additional online course requirements and an additional fee of $200.
Hours: 6:00pm – 10:00pm daily
This course will run from 6:00pm to 10:00pm Monday through Saturday evening. Attendance every evening is expected.
